Moving to Hebburn
Hebburn is a small town on the south bank
of the River Tyne in North East England. Close to the Tyne
Tunnel, Hebburn sits between Jarrow and Pelaw on the A185.
Hebburn's main claim to fame is that Sir
Humphry Davy, inventor of the Davy lamp, developed the lamp
at Hebburn Hall and first tested it, on January 9, 1816 at
Hebburn Colliery.
With a population of around 24,000, Hebburn
is close to both Newcastle and Gateshead, and a short drive
from Sunderland.
The development of South Tyneside, has made
moving to Hebburn an increasingly attractive option. South
Tyneside Means Business is actively encouraging individuals
and companies to relocate to South Tyneside and offers help
and support for new businesses and expanding businesses alike.
